My main advice for anyone who is in a LDR: plan on closing the distance. If you decided to stay miles apart, I assume that you are sacrificing so much because you are sure about your willingness to be together. Think of a timeframe you can be apart (which shouldn’t be more than a year, to keep it healthy). Plan what has to be done to make the move as smooth as possible and start spending your time in preparing for it.

Long distance relationships are not something anyone would get into of their own free will, but it does help to lay down a strong foundation for your relationship. Take this time as an opportunity to learn about your partner and yourself, discover your flaws and scope for improvement, your advantages, priorities, and opinions.
There is no answer way to know if your LDR will work- there is no formula to make it happen. It’s not easy. Actually, it’s very tough, but possible. Make sure you are prepared before you enter one and your chance of success is much higher!

Be yourself. First dates are great. During the initial stage of the relationship, we try to impress and come across a bit better than we actually are.
Try to have a LDR without the end date and…and wait until it slowly dies. If you both understand that he has to move for good but none of you are willing to give up anything…that’s a red flag.
