You might think that a distant love experience is just an unfortunate situation you got yourself into. But be sure you will come out of it much more matured, stronger and motivated than you’ve been before!

A long distance relationship is the hardest experience you might get yourself into, and doing it during college years is much more complicated and risky. I always say to friends: the time I spent in a distant relationship was the toughest experience of my life. But the man I’ve done it for was worth every day of waiting. Do it ONLY if you are sure about the person! Share your experience if you are/were in a LDR during college years below!
Closing the distance is so much more than moving in together. It’s also (at least) one of you leaving everything behind and moving across country or much further, so you both can pursue happiness as a couple. It’s exciting and little bit scary… And you know, it’s so worth it.
My main advice for anyone who is in a LDR: plan on closing the distance. If you decided to stay miles apart, I assume that you are sacrificing so much because you are sure about your willingness to be together. Think of a timeframe you can be apart (which shouldn’t be more than a year, to keep it healthy). Plan what has to be done to make the move as smooth as possible and start spending your time in preparing for it.

There is no answer way to know if your LDR will work- there is no formula to make it happen. It’s not easy. Actually, it’s very tough, but possible. Make sure you are prepared before you enter one and your chance of success is much higher!
Communication online can appear boring, unless you find your way to make it as fulfilling as possible.
